Sparks Studio Art

Sunflowers are one of my favorite subjects. This painting was recently accepted into the show "Art in Bloom," a botanical art show at the BRIT (Botanical Research Institute of Texas).
The painting was inspired while I was on a fall visit to Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, NM. with Darla Bostick. The ranch garden was full of colorful wilted blossoms... a new look for normally big, bold, bright sunflower blooms.
